Explore ADDU

The atoll is crisscrossed by four natural channels - Gan Kandu, Vilingili Kandu, Maa Kandu and Kuda Kandu - and offers a total of about 30 dive sites.
These channels are among the most exciting in the archipelago. The incoming currents create ideal conditions for divers of all experience levels.
The chances are excellent of encountering various species of sharks (grey and tiger sharks), manta rays, eagle rays, barracudas, Napoleon wrasse or sea turtles.
The manta ray cleaning station in Maa Kandu is particularly famous , where the gentle giants can be observed all year round.
At the heart of the atoll lies the "British Loyalty", an oil tanker wreck from the Second World War—a paradise for wreck enthusiasts. Clearly visible traces of torpedo impacts make history tangible.
As the Addu Atoll is a single reef system surrounded by the open ocean, its steep walls and outer reefs offer spectacular dives with deep drop-offs and, depending on the season, breathtaking visibility. Here you seem to float above an underwater volcanic peak – and the feeling that a majestic sea creature could emerge from the depths at any moment is ever-present.
